Notes

512. Mark Haskell

fined for weaving broadlace, 30 Sep 1652

533. Edith Brayne

She and her husband, Richard Dodge, are considered pioneers of Essex County, Massachusetts.

Her maiden name is BRAYNE. Edith is often wrongly sourced as having had maiden name of Woodbury -per Norman Dodge, findagrave contributor "even the Woodbury family will tell you he {Richard Dodge} did not marry a Woodbury. This is likely most often due to the book 'Pioneers of Massachusetts' by Charles Henry Pope, 1st published in 1900 and reprinted in 2009, ISBN #ISBN: 9780806307749.

Husband Richard created the family cemetery on their farmland which became known as "Dodge Row" and their graves are not marked in modern day (2009) both Edith and Richard's are remembered at that family cemetery, but their exact location of burial is not known.

542. William Dixey

Born about 1607 (deposed aged fifty years 1 July 1657; aged sixty-two years 2 July 1669; aged seventy-two years at November Term, 1679; aged about seventy years June Term, 1680). Ferryman who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1629. First settled in Nahant MA; moved to Salem by 1634, & then Beverly MA. Died between 11 August 1688 (codicil to will) and 24 June 1690 (probate of will).
Married by 1636 (and probably by 1634 if she was the mother of all his children) Ann (or Hannah) _____; "Ann Dixy" is included in the list of Salem church members compiled late in 1636; she participated in a deed with her husband on 20 June 1681 but was not seen in later records, and was certainly dead before 1 February 1684/5 when her husband made his will.
Davis states that THOMAS DIXEY {1637, Salem] was "without doubt a kinsman of Captain William Dixey"
