Christopher Osgood,) Mary, (m. Wm. Chandler,) Samuel, Hester, (m. 1, Jathnell Bird, 2, Ezra Rolfe, 3, Robert Collins,) Joseph, Thomas. He adopted his son Joseph's son Philip, and deeded house and land to him 23 Dec. 1668. He d. June 24, 1679; admin, gr. to gr. son Philip F., Sept. 1679."

Benjamin, of wh. very little is heard, Joseph, bef. ment. and Margaret; was freem. 3 Sept. 1634. He d. 24 June 1678, aged 87, or more prob. 80, as by one report he was 73 in 1671. His d. Margaret was wid; of Christopher Osgood of Ipswich in 1650, wh. was her fellow passeng. and he had beside, Thomas, b. 1636; and Philip, a. 1646, wh. prob. d. young; by w. Martha. But he m. 27 Feb. 1660, Diary, wid. I presume, of George Norton."

Court, was ordered to be remitted 19 Sept. 1637, if he go to Merrimack. Charlestown, propr. 1638. He was a son of John Stratton, of Shotley, Eng., gent., b. about 1606; his mother was a dau. of Mrs. Mary Dearhaugh of Barringham, co. .Suffolk, Eng. His bro. William S. was ready to come to N. E. in 1628, but was left behind toy his uncle Joseph, who settled at James City, Va.; so he deposed in a lawsuit in 1640. Sister Elizabeth, wife of John Thorndike, sister Dorothy, spinster, and his mother, were all of Salem. [L.]."
